Hypnosis and Diabetes

Just been diagnosed and feeling depressed and down about it?  Or long-term sufferer finding it difficult to maintain your healthy living diet and exercise regimes?  Read on, this is for you.
Over 2 million people in England are living with diabetes. Many more have the condition but don’t know it. Type 1 and type 2 are the most common forms. The causes of both types are different, but both result in too much glucose (sugar) in the blood
Diabetes can increase the risk of developing other conditions, such as heart disease, with risks of blindness and limb amputations. It can, however, be managed effectively and many people with diabetes lead a healthy, active life.
A diagnosis of diabetes can be overwhelming. But it shouldn't stop you from living a healthy, active life, especially if you're able to manage your diabetes and reduce the chance of developing complications.

This is where hypnosis can help you.  How?

  1. by teaching you how to maintain a healthy diet

  2. by teaching you powerful self-hypnosis techniques that others have used to successfully manage their own diabetes

  3. by teaching you how to avoid the pitfalls that keep a person stuck in bad habits that cause great harm for the diabetic

  4. by making you more sensitive to your body’s signals so that you have more time to act before your blood sugar drops too far

  5. by motivating you to maintain a healthy life-style that will minimise the effects of diabetes

  6. by teaching you very effective relaxation skills that, if practised, will, in themselves, bring improvements.

In the meantime, take a look at these tips.  Put them into practice and you won’t need to come to see me!

10 SUCCESS SECRETS FOR CONTROLLING DIABETES

  1. FOCUS ON WHAT YOU WANT.
Be realistic but be open to new and unconventional ideas…like the Wright Brothers.  Focus on health and feeling good.  Focus on being in control and empowered.

  2. STOP WISHING YOU DIDN’T HAVE DIABETES
Do not resent being a ‘victim.’  Stop thinking ‘why me?’  Resentment and despair create a mind-set that is as relentless and as deadly as gangrene.  Feelings of unfairness block attempts at positive action.

  3. LEARN FROM OTHERS WITH DIABETES WHO HAVE SUCCEEDED IN BEING POSITIVE
Many famous people are leading very successful lives with diabetes.  What are they doing that you are not?

  4. THE PAST DOES NOT EQUAL THE FUTURE
Change is inevitable but your actions and decisions determine the nature of the change.

  5. REMEMBER!  ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING
Like the rudder on a ship, your attitude determines where you are going and where you will end up.

  6. DETERMINE WHICH IS THE GREATER SACRIFICE
What is easier to live with?  Being blind or making that little extra daily effort to positively handle the situation?

  7. REALIZE THAT YOU ARE NOT ON A DIET
You choose what you eat.  Be positive about the choices open to you and imaginative in how you prepare and cook food.

  8. COMMIT TO SOME FORM OF ACTIVITY
Activity and exercise are vital.  Focus on doing something….like walking.

  9. KEEP A SUCCESS SCORE CARD.
Focus on what you are doing right.  Think constantly on doing things right.  A mental law is that the more you think about something the more you do it.

  10. NO MATTER WHAT, NEVER GIVE UP.
Giving up is like stepping into quicksand. Pain of suffering is far greater than pain of making the effort to exercise positive control.  Visit your local physical rehab centre and see amputees if you doubt it.
